TWO YOUTHS

FACE CHARGES

IN WARREN CO.

Front Royal police have charged two Rappahannock youths, suspected of taking gas in the Viscose Parking lot, with an automobile, and trespassing,

The pair, Bunnie S. Smoot, 19 of Washington Va., and Lewis E. Wharton, 19, of Castleton, were arrested at about two o’clock Sunday morning by Officers John W. Good and Cliftoqi L. Good of the Front Royal Police Department.

Officer John Good said the police received a call at about 1 a.m. that a car was moving around in the Viscose lot. He said they checked, and found the car occupied by the two youths! pulling out of the lot. When police stopped the car they found a hose and a lid to a. five gallon can in the vehicle.

The hose and lid smelled strongly of gasoline, police said, but the boys denied taking any. The officers went to the Viscose lot where they found a can which had been used to hold gasoline taken from a pick-up truck parked on the lot, Officer Good said.
