Meet In Culpeper
The annual meeting of The Piedmont Real Estate Board, which covers Madison, Culpeper, Rappahannock and Orange, Counties, was held Thursday, November 28th, at The Culpeper Country Club, with 10 members and their guests present, which included, Mr. and Mrs. Preston Browning, Mr. and Mrs. John Thornton, Dr. and Mrs. J. B. McC6y, Rev. and Mrs. Ralph Stalter, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Lee Burke, Mr. and Mrs. E. Feigner Neal, two associate members and their wives, John Hitt and Col. Wm. Nalle, of Culpeper, Mr. and Mrs. I. B- Brooks and William Mollan of Orange. We regret that two of our Rappahannock members could not attend. Ray Cannon of Castleton, had the misfortune of breaking his foot in a hunting accident and Arthur Miller of Washington, was home entertaining his daughter who had recently arrived from Formosa. Officers of the past year were re-elected, E. Feigner Neal, President, John Hitt Secretary-Treasurer and Jack Samuels Vice President. Col George Ashworth of Orange was accepted as a new member It was agreed to change the name of the Board from The Piedmont Real Estate Board to The Piedmont Board of Realtors, as this would more clearly bring before the public the fact that only a member of The National Association of Real Estate Boards, are eligible to be affiliated with the local Board and privileged to use the registered trademark Realtor and are thus pledged to do business according to their code of ethics.
