Mr. and Mrs. AlphiusTavnneir of Greenville, Maryland visited Mrs. Lizzie Moss on Saturady afternoon. Mrs- Carrie Gay form Elkton has been visiting the Tavnners and will now spend some time with her sister, Mrs. Moss. Mr. and Mrs. Neil Weibele and son of Fairfax were Sunday visitors of Mrs. Weibele’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie J. Hitt.
Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Priest and son visited Mr. and Mrs. Claude Green in Warrenton Saturday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs- Wallace Stover and family visited Mrs. Eleanor Stover on Sunday. • The Rappahannock District tonvention of the Ruritan Club was held in Winchester last Wednesday. Those attending from the Amissville Ruritan Club were T. C. Barron, Gilbert Lawrence, Edward Lawrence, and Charlie Priest.
Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Settle and family were Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Burner.
A group of ladies met at the firehouse Monday night to organize a Home Demonstration Club. Eighteen ladies were present. All agreed to organize a Club here. The meetings will be held each first Monday at 7:30 at the firehouse. Officers will be elected at the JanTiary meeting- All ladies of the area are invited to attend. Miss Barbara Jones gave a demonstration on making and using candles in the home.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Curtis are spending sometime with Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Curtis.
Mrs. Lloyd Baldwin is making plans to open a beauty shop in the old barber shop building.
Mrs. Reginald Bowen has accepted a position in Leggetts Department Store in Culpeper.
