Most Hunting Good To Excellent
With the general hunting season now in full swing, its a good time to check results against pre-season hopes and predictions. From reports available to us, sportsmen have little to complain about. The weather has been good and the game plentiful.
Quail are apparently just as abundant as last season, and reminiscent of old time bird hunting, are frequently being found in open fields. We believe a partial explanation for this is the fact that many coveys contain very young birds not nearly grown, an unusual situation for this time of year. Many limits have been reported, but will be harder to come by afi the season wears on and the birds become warier.
