Holiday Activities
Chi Sigma youth group planned a variety of activities for the Christmas season at their! regular Sunday night meeting l December 2, at which time they met at Washington Baptist Church. Nineteen members were present for the meeting.
This group will go Christmas caroling on December 16. They will meet at the Washington Baptist Church at 6:30 p.m. and carol in the Washington vicinity. A bowling party will follow and all young people are extended an invitation to join the group.
The theme for the annual Christmas party this year will be “Happy Holidays.” Invitations are being sent to the alumni and other special guests.
Atkins got in foul trouble and was replaced by the only substitute used by Rappahannock. Lvle Updike, as the score was 34-24. Mosbv came to life in the final quarter and scored 13 points as compared to 9 for Rappahannock. but it was too late as the final buzzer sounded with the score 43-37.
A rare scoring play occurred in the 4th quarter when a Rappahannock defensive player deflected the ball into the Mosby basket for two points for the Rangers.
