^questions before the Army Corps of Engineers yesterday and asked for answers within six months.
NASA made $100,000 available for the study, to be conducted by 10 persons at the corps’ Gravelly Point headquarters.
D. Brainerd Holmes, director of NASA’s Office of Manned Space Flight, said in a letter to Brig. Gen. T. J. Hayes, assistant to the chief of engineers for NASA support:
