' The W. S. C. S. of Flint Hill Methodist Church met Thursday evening at the home of Miss Addle Boyd with an attendance including Mrs. L. Burford, Mrs. W. Gentry, Mrs. Frank Cary, Mrs. J. B. Grimmer, Mrs. Galley Smith, Jr, and Mrs. Paul Miller. Mrs. Miller conducted a program on the subject “National Council of Churches”. Sunday guest of Mr. and Mrs. Frank W. Spalding was Kftr. Spalding’s son-in-law, Lynn Francisco of Forest Hill, Illinois. Mrs. F. W. Spalding and son, Robert Massie, Jr., spent Thursday and Friday in Salem and Buena Vista visiting relatives. Mr. Massie left Sunday for Richmond where he is employed.
Mrs. Emma Coppage of Sandston hnd Mrs. James were Tuesday visitors of Capt. and Mrs. J. P. Cook. Mrs.Cook accompanied them on their return to Richmond and remained until Saturday. Mrs. Day and Mrs. Cook attended church services in Berryville on Sunday where the Rev. Claude Cook conducted his first service in his new pastorate. Sunday visitors of Mr.and Mrs. James M. Settle included Mr. and Mrs. Bill Nuckols and four children and Mrs. Warren Eastham of Shady Side, Md., James M. Settle, Jr. of Alexandria and Mr. and Mrs. Warren Frank of Luray. Mrs.Eastham is staying on to visit the Settles. Miss Carolyn Parsons of Annadale was a Saturday over-night guest of Mr.and Mrs. John S.Browning. The W.M.U. of Flint Hill Baptist Church met Friday evening in the home of Mrs.
