Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Wayland and family of Alexandria spent several days last week with Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Wayland. Larry Wayland of Arlington was a Weekend guest of the Waylands. Staff Sgt. and Mrs. J. E. Swindler and two children who have been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Swindler left Tuesday for Salem, Mass., to visit Mrs. Swindler's patents, Mr. and Mrs.* J. J. Pszenny. They will make a return visit with Mr. and Mrs. Swindler before leaving for Sgt. Swindler’s new assignment. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brown and sons who were returning to their home in Hamilton after a week's vacation at Nags Head, N. C., were guests for the weekend of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodes Brown. Lee Thornton, III, who spent last week with his uncle and aunt Dr. and Mrs. James Thornton in Gate City returned to his home and on Monday left to accept a position in Culpeper. J. Rodes Brown and Allen Randolph of Charlottesville left Monday for a tour through Maryland and Pennsylvania in interest of the Calf Sale. Mrs. Helen Bruce of Gainesville was a weekend guest of her sister, Mrs. E. W. Gore at Barlow. Miss Joan Aylor and her brother. Buddy Aylor of Arlington were weekend guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Aylor. Other Sunday guests of the Aylor’s were Mr. and Mrs. Dickie Streit, Cathy Streit and Bobby Streit. Bobby is remaining for a longer visit with the Aylors.
Elder and Mrs. J. H. Daily were in Luray for the weekend where Elder Daily conducted services at Mt. Carr
