Could be by the time this is published we will know the results of our efforts. In the mean time farmers might review our summary and report their thinking either to H. S. Barksdale or myself. Never before during my tenure of 28 years of County Agent work have I had so many calls and visits from farmers seeking information on how they can help themselves. This is as it should be. Too often a man makes his move, gets into difficulty and then comes to us with his problems. Like falling in the well, it is much simpler for your county agent to *keep you out’ rather than 'get you' out’.
On Dean's List
Edgar K. Browning, son of Mr. and Mrs; John S. Browning of Flint Hill, was among the record 20 per cent of tte students In the University ttf Virginia's College of Arts and Sciences who won places on the Dean’s list for the second semester. He is a second year student there. The 387 students on the dean’s list this semester had to pass at least 14 semester hours of work without a failure on any course, with an average grade of at teas: a B on all courses.
Miss Elizabeth Ann Printz, a June graduate of Longwood College achieved Dean’s List for the second semester of the 1962-63 session.
Miss Printz is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cletus H. Printz, Rt. #1, Boz 103, Amissville, Virginia. She is a graduate of Rappahannock High School. The Dean’s List is published to recognize those students who have achieved superior scholarship. A student must have achieved a B plus average during the previous semester to be on the list.
