Chester Gap Area
Revival services are being held each night this week at 7;30 at the Chester Gap Baptist Mission. The public is cordially invited to attend.
Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Smith spent last Tuesday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cleveland Rutherford in Harmony Hollow. Miss Sandra Wines returned to her home in Manassas on Sunday after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cameron and family. Randy Wines arrived Sunday evening to spend some time with Mr. and Mrs. Cameron. Alfred Sealock has returned to his home from a Washington, D. C. hospital. He will return to Washington for further treatment at a later date. Mrs. Lucy Brown and daughter, Rosa Lee, of Baltimore Md. and Sgt. Russell Curry of Washington, D. C. visited Mr. and Mrs. Garfield Williams on Saturday afternoon. Misses Linda Dulin and Barbara Pullen spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. Dud Pullen. A joint picnic style birthday dinner was held Sunday, July 28th in the yard at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Williams honoring Mrs. Myrtle North and Andrew L. Williams,, Delicious refreshments were served to approximately sixty relatives and friends of the honorees. Mrs. Lillian Fox and Miss Marie Sealock were business visitors Monday in Winchester.
Mrs. Stanley Williams and son, Maynard attended funeral services for their uncle, Mr. Charles Ritenour, at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock on Sunday afternoon. Burial followed in Powell’s Fort Valley.

The Sperryville Bridge Club was entertained by Mrs. G. Brown Miller on Friday night. Those playing were Mrs. Elmo Flynt, Mrs. I. R. Kilby, Mrs. R. E. Patzig, Mrs. R. E. Wood, Mrs. V. E. Goddard, Mrs. Roy Reeve, Mrs. F. W. Schaefer and Mrs. R. E. Thompsen, Score prizes were awarded to Mrs. fteeve and Mrs. Goddard.
