Weekend guests of Mrs. Quaintance were her son. Barton < Quaintance and daughter, Nancy of Wilmington, Del. and Mrs. Erna Nethers of Hood. Mrs. James Cubbage and daughter, Mrs. Dale Earnhart of Culpeper and her guests Mrs. Marcus Weaver and daughters, Sherry and Dana, of Baltimore, Md. were Wednesday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Olney Kennedy. Bud Woodward and four sons of Banco were Sunday evening visitors in the home Of his cousins Lewis J. Smith and Mrs. Smith. Lt. Col. and Mrs. Norman Wilbur, their daughter, Norma Lee, Mrs. George Baber, Jr. of Cape Canaveral, Fla., Mrs. Eddie John, son and sons and Mrs. Iris Brooke of Boston, and their houseguests Mrs. W. A. Priest and children of Clevis, N. M., Mrs. Fyed Reeves of Roswell, N. M., Mrs. Annie Mae Gilliland of El Paso, Texas and Mrs. Sarah Jane Richhart of San Antonio, Texas all spent the day Sunday, July 21 at Virginia Beach. On July 24 the guests left by automobile for their homes. Danny and Jay Wilbur, sons of Mr. and Mrs. James Wilbur of Savannah, Georgia, arrived Sunday to spend the rest of the summer with their aunt and uncle Lt. Col. and Mrs. Norman Wilbur. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Barfield and children of Berryville have been on a weeks vacation and spent part'of it with his mother, Mrs. Hazel Barfield. Mr. and Mrs. Barfield and children Debbie and Bobby left Wednesday for Hershey, Pa. where they visited the Hershey Factory and the surrounding country side, returning Friday evening.

Mrs. Rayner V. Snead entertained, ntembers of the Washington Bridge^Club ariladditional guests-at her home on Thursday evening. Her guests were Mrs. Ralph Styer, Mrs. Harry Lee Smith, Mrs. R. G. Quaintance, Mrs. T. J. Pillar, Mrs. Fred Schaefer, Mrs. W. F. Moffett, Mrs, D. D. Miller, Mrs. C..B. Palmer, Mrs. George H. Davis, Jr., Mrs. Charles T. Bruce, and Mrs. Thomas Eastham. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Moffett and Mrs. Pillar.
