Sperryville Scouts
Camp at Rock Enon
Boy scouts from Troop 65 of Sperryville went to Camp Rock Enon in Gore, Virginia from July 28 to August 3. Those attending were Billy Mundy, Leslie Titchenell, Tim Kilby, Jack Weaver, and Jackie Brown along with their leader Rev. B. G. Titchenell. The following is a list of merit badges and the boys who earned them while at camp: Rowing-Billy Mundy, Tim Kilby; Pioneering-Billy Mundy, Leslie Titchenell, Mike Titchenell; LifesavingTim Kilby, Billy Mundy, Leslie Titchenell, Mike Titchenell; Nature-Mike Titchenell, Leslie Titchenell Tim Kilby; Forestry-Leslie Titchenell, Mike Titchenell Tim Kilby, Billy Mundy; Soil and Water ConservationTim Kilby, Leslie Titchenell and Mike Titchenell. Billy Mundy, Tim Kilby, Leslie Titchenell, and Mike Titchenell took Junior Leader training in waterfront activities and safety. Jack Weaver was advanced from Tenderfoot tp Second Class Rank. During the week Tim Kilby and Leslie Titchenell were honored by mernbershlp to the Order of Arrow. Troop 65 holds it meetings Fridays at 7:30 p.m. in the VFW Hall at Sperryville. All boys between 11 and 14 are welcome to Join.
