Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Lillard of Rapidan were Sunday afternoon visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lillard. Thursday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Weaver and their houseguests Mr8. Fannie Hackley and Mrs. Annie King of Washington, D. C. were Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hackley and son of Washington, D. C. and Mrs. Carlyle Brown, Mrs. Frank Butler and Mrs. Edmund Burke all of Boston. Mrs. Fannie Hackley and Mrs. Annie King returned to Washington, D. C. with the Howard Hackley’s. Mr. and Mrs. Donnie Walker of Clinton, Md. spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hensley and Mrs. Gladys Schlosser and daughter, Gladys. Miss Donna Lee and Barbara Jean Walker who had been spending the week with the Hensley’s and the Schlosser’s and attending the Culpeper Fair every day returned home with their parents. Tom Hensley, Jr. received a blue ribbon for the fitting class of his steer and a blue ribbon for showmanship arid took second place in beef class. For this he received two trophy cups, which will be displayed in Leggett’s Store window soon. Leggett's bought the steer.
