Keyser in Washington, Va. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Atkins Miss Nancy Atkins and Mrs. Maude Dodson were dinner , guests last Wednesday of Mri and Mrs. James Gibbs in Front Royal. Sunday Mrs. Atkins, Nancy and Mrs. Dodson were in Woodstock for S visit with Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Gochenour. Miss Wanda Tharpe of Front Royal is spending this week in the Atkins home. Charlie Smith left Saturday for Kings Point, N. Y. where he is enrolled in the Merchant Marine Academy. Robert Massie is visiting his mother, Mrs. Frank Spalding and Mr. Spalding before returning to his teach* ing position in Richmond September 3. 3 Mrs. M. R. Bradford, Jr.; Miss Virginia Bradford and Mr8. Lockett Burford stayed at Virginia Beach from Wednesday until Saturday. James M. Settle returned’* to his home Monday from University of Virginia Hospital where he had been a patient since Wednesday. Mrs. Settle stayed with him during his hospitalization. Visitors Monday afternoon of the Settles were Mr. andMrs. David Corbin of Rich-' mond. Miss Kate Walker moved : Monday to the Snead apart-' ment in Washington and has' as her guest Mrs. Warren. Eastham of Shady Side, Md*. Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Barks-, dale spent last week in Asheville, N. C. Guests of the Barksdales are Mr. and Mrs. Harry Radcliff and James Messersmith of Frederick, Md. Mr. and Mrs. Robertf Clatterbuck and Sammy were visitors Sunday of Mrs.* Clatterbuck’s mother, Mrs. Robert Miller in PurcellvillePaula Dicks, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Dicks, left Tuesday to spend a week with her grandmother, Mrs. Mary Dicks in Middletown.1 Weekend guests of Mr. and-' Mrs. Herbert Foster werei; Mrr-and Mrs.--Irvin Corbin— and family of Anhandale. The Fosters and their houseguests attended a birthday party Sunday in honor of Mrs. Gavor Foster. Other guests at the birthday cele - bration were Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Corbin, Mrs. Erth'a Corbin and Miss Charlotte Corbin, all of Arlington, and Mr. and Mrs. Claude Foster and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Foster.
