Grants Made
Cancer research grants amounting to $37,825 have been renewed by the American Cancer Society at Virginia’s two medical teaching institutions, it was announced today by James W. Rawles, president of the Society’s Virginia Division. In effect at the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville is an Institutional Research Grant which provides unearmarked funds to encourage persons with different ideas to enter cancer research. The grant has been renewed for $20,000 and will be effective September 1 through August 31, 1964.
