A continued gradual decline of Virginia corn prices is expected as adjustments are made to the new crop. Virginia’s crop production this year should be (town about 29 per cent from last year. National prospects were up 6 per cent as of August 1. Based on. the total supply picture, however, corn prices in Virginia should be above low levels of a year ago all the way through the harvest season. Virginia prices are also expected to remain above the national price average. Prices last week were $1.38 at Richmond; $1.35 to $1.42 at Norfolk; $1.36 to $1.38 in the Northern Neck and $1.54 to $1.56 in the Shenandoah Valley* The Chicago terminal market price on corn last week was $1.31.

Punctured Eardrum
The eardrum is the separa-' tor between the outer ear and the middle ear. Although it is well protected, it can be punctured or broken by several types of injury. Poking sharp objects into the ear is one of the most common causes of punctured eardrums among children. Pencils and sticks are the usual villains.
