Conference Scheduled
The Annual Virginia Public Health Conference will be held May 26 - 29 in the Hotel John Marshall, Richmond, Virginia. Approximately 600 physician^ nurses, voluntary health agency workers, dentists, sanitarians, and others interested in public health will attend the 3-day meeting. The conference is held each year to provide up-to-date information on health problems in Virginia and the latest developments in the health field. There will be two general sessions. The first, to beheld Wednesday, May 27, will feature speeches by the Lt. Governor of the State of Virginia the Honorable Mills E. Godwin; the Mayor of the City of Richmond, the Honorable Eleanor P. Sheppard; and Greetings from the President of the State Board of Health, the President of the State Dental Association, and the President of the Medical Society of Virginia. The second general session on Friday, May 29 will feature a panel discussion on “Health Programs and Projects in Virginia.- Participating will be specialists from the State Health Department in charge of programs directed at specific State health problems.
