Period Extended
The Department of Agriculture has extended the signup period under the 1964 Volun-. tary Wheat Program from May 15 through May 22, 1964 according to H. S. Barksdale, Chairman, Rappahapnock ASC County Committee. In making this announcement, Mr. Barksdale said that the Department feels that farmers have not been afforded ample opportunity to sign up during the short signup period as announced previously. Farmers in most areas are in the rush period of land preparation and planting of spring crops. The additional week’s extension of the signup period will give farmers further opportunity to consider the effects of this program on their individual
