Hill School near Castleton. From Castleton she went to Slate Mills to teach and was married during her tenure there. She later returned to Belle Meade which had become a three room school and remained until 1960 when the elementary schools In the county were consolidated into two schools. At this time Mrs. Ramey went to Washington Elementary where she instructed the first grade for a year. The following year she was located at Sperryville Elementary teaching a split class of first and second graders which she has continued with and is presently doing. Mrs. Ramey said she would most certainly miss her "little people,” but being a farmer’s wife she was sure there would be plenty to occupy her time. Her predominant hobby is flower gardening.
