Montgomery County near Christiansburg, where he served as chief deputy and jailor for' six years under his father, Sheriff George A. Arrington, who retired Jan. 1 after serving 19 years. The couple had no children. Arrington was a veteran of the Army Air Force military police, had attended the FBI course at Blacksburg, also trained at the State Police school at headquarters in Richmond. He was a member of the Culpeper Junior Chamber of Commerce and other groups. A funeral service for the deceased officer was held at Culpeper Baptist Church at 2;00-p.m., Sunday followed by burial at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Cambria, attended by Town and County Police Officers of Culpeper.
