factor in crop production in fields that have been treated. Shoulders and Dr. L. H. ^Tay lor, professor of agronomy at VPI, will discuss orchgrass seed production and thestatus of the current breeding program.

The superintendent of the Northern Virginia Pasture Research Station at Middleburg, Dr. H. T. Bryant, and his associate there, J. R. PeteFson, will give information on the yield and feeding value of small grains, sudangrass and sudan-sorghum crosses used as silage. - G. W. Hawkins, associate professor of agronomy at VPI, will discuss different sources of nitrogen, characteristics of each when applied to the soil and crop response to different sources of nitrogen. Station staff members will also talk on the effect of state of maturity at harvest on the feeding value of corn silage, grazing results, and other sub* jects. The conference will start at 9:45 a.m. and end around 3 p.m. There will be a tour of the Station following the program for those persons interested, Shoulders said.
