Local Men Attend Convocation Meeting
Bishop Robert F. Gibson was the speaker at a convocation feting of'the Diocese of Virginia which was held at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Middleburg, on Monday, December 7. Dinner was served by the ladies of the parish. Those from this area attending were the Rev. Charles Glaenzer, W. A. Buntin, B. H. Patterson, J. Newbill Miller, Wayne Hayes, E. N. Montague and Paul Nichols.
Boxwood Pruning Demonstration Scheduled
Demonstrations on pruning boxwood have been arranged as follows: Baptist parsonage in Sperryville at 10 a.m.; Mrs. D. D. Miller’s at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 10. In event of rain or snow the demonstrations will be held Monday, December 14 (weather permitting) at the same hours.
