Cub Scouts Organize

Representatives from Flint Hill, Amissville, Washington and Sperryville were in attendance at the organizational meeting to form a Cub Scout Pack which was helfl Monday, November 31 in Washington. Groundwork for the organization was laid and a Board was appointed which includes Allen Stokes, R. V. Snead and John C ar gill. Wayne Hayes was named Institutional Representative. Paul Nichols of Flint Hill, who for many years has been a Scoutmaster, was named Cub Master for the pack. A survey showed 5 to 8 boys in each district interested in participating in a cub scout program. Den meetings will be set up for 1 hour a day, one day a week in each area, with a pack meeting once a month for the entire groufc>. Den mothers are being secured for each group. A second meeting to complete details of the organization is scheduled for tonight, Thursday, December 10 at Trinity Church, Washington. All interested in becoming a part of the group are invited to attend.
