Jim Phillips Injured In Ditch Cave-In
James Phillips of Amissville was injured last Tuesday in Warrenton when a ditch in which he was working caved in and buried him. He was employed by the Town of Warren ton and was digging a sewer ditch when the cave in occurred. A rescue party worked for 25 minutes before freeing him, Phillips sustained a crushed leg and is recovering satisfactorily after undergoing surgery at Fauquier Hospital.
Art Showing Date Changed
Dates for the art exhibition to be held by Miss Carol Ann Rowzie at Wayside Art Gallery in Middletown have been changed and are now scheduled for October 18-31. Miss Rowzie, who is from Amissville, will show paintings in oils and water colors. The water colors will be for sale.

The Church of God of Prophecy of Front Royal will hold a ham and chicken supper at the Chester Gap fire hall, September 18 starting at 4 o’clock. Adults $1.25, children 75C. Benefit of the church building fund. The public is invited.
