Mrs. Conner Jenkins is confined to her bed after suffering a slight heart attack September 3. Oscar Dodson having pulled a ligament in his leg last week is able to be around without crutches this week. Mrs. Alice Dorsey and her sister-in-law Mrs. Marie Bealle of Washington, D. C, were Friday morning visitors of Mrs. Donald Carpenter anc her new son Harper Samue ITorn September 7 at Culpepet Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Carpenter before her marriage was Miss Judy Fender, formerly of Slate Mills. Mrs. Robert E. McLaughlir and sons Bobby and Stepher of Washington, D. C. spent the week-end at their farm “Monterrain”.
