How many years ago shouldn’t be hard to figure though when I say that after living on the highway in Amissville for 25 years, I have never seen traffic on Route 211 compare with that Sunday. There was a fifteen mile stretch of vehicles bumper to bumper. Though the weekend traffic was not a record in Shenandoah Park, it certainly was in Amissville. According to local Troopers, Park traffic flowed evenly without serious conjestion at any time.
While I’m reminiscing, did you know that 25 years ago Tuesday the 19th it snowed here? Several inches of great big soggy wet flakes covered the ground.
It must take a lot of brass to steal a Judge’s car from the courthouse parking lot with officers and personnel coming and going at intervals. That’s what happened recently in Leesburg when Judge Snead's car was taken from his official parking place there. The vehicle was.recovered a few days later in that vicinity a little the worse for wear.
