The Flint Hill, Amissville and Sperryville Fire Companies reported at a barn fire on the Harry Meades farm on Wednesday, November 17. On the 19th Stanley Foster was taken from home to Front Royal Hospital by the Flint Hill Rescue Squad. Early Thursday morning the Sperryville Fire Company went to the home of Homer Jenkins, Peola Mills, where electric wires, blown by the wind, caused a fire hazard. No fire resulted.
