Miss Kilby Sings with University Choral Group

Miss Tish Kilby, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lucio J. Kilby of Sperryville was among the 160 singers of the University of Tennessee choral group when they presented two concerts of music by the world famous composer Randall Thompson. The concert on Friday night by the group and full Knoxville Symphony Orchestra was a presentation of Robert Frost poetry set to music and Ode to the Virginia Voyagers with the composer Mr. Thompson as guest conductor. The two and one half hour concert on Sunday was his Oratorio, the Passion according to St. Luke. Miss Kilby, a Junior Sociology major is completing her second year with the choral group. Mrs. Kilby and Mrs. R. E. Patzig of Sperryville were in attendance at both concerts.
