Mr. and Mrs. FrankLouckes of Arlington were callers Tuesday of Miss Annie Miller Almond. Miss Dorothy Taylor Davis of Madison College spent the week-end at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. George H. Davis, Jr. On Sunday Mrs. Davis, the Misses Dorothy and Cil Davis and B. R. Cox visited Mrs. Cox in Staunton. Mr. Davis visited his parents Dr. and Mrs. G. H. Davis in Warrenton. Dr. and Mrs. Howard Berger of Falls Church spent last Tuesday at Clairmonte and were accompanied by their house guests Dr. and Mrs. Walter C. MacKenzie of Ed monton, Alberta. Dr. MacKenzie, President-elect of the American College of Surgeon^, attended a Surgeon's Conference in Washington, D.C. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Absher of Alcoa, Tenn. were Friday luncheon guests of Judge and Mrs. B. M. Miller. Mrs. Absher is the former Mi6s Barbara Jones, Home Demon stration agent. Mr. Absher is working for his doctorate at the University of Tennessee. Sunday visitors of Col. and Mrs. C. W. King at Ben Venue were Admiral and Mrs. George Ashe of Berryville. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Reid and three sons of Arlington were the week-end guests of Mrs. C. G. Reid.
Following the baptism Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Reid's son Robert Browning Reid at the Flint Hill Methodist Church Mrs. F. Downing Wood entertained with luncheon at Sunnyside.
