SperrvviUe firemen a re hard at work preparing for their annual carnival which will open Wednesday, July 13 and continue through Saturday, July 16. A mammouth parade will be the feature Thursday evening and climaxing activities will be the awarding of a grand prize and many others Saturday night. There will be a variety of rides, games and prizes , to amuse and entertain the young and old. Good country food, always an attractive feature, will be found in abundance at the Jood stand. A box supper will be available on parade night, Thursday, and will contain among other things, Virginia ham and fired chicken. Those furnishing cakes or pies are requested to bring them to the grounds Thursday afternoon.
Over a hundred units are entered in the parade which begins at 7 p.m. EDT and includes rescue squads, fire equipment, marching units, majorettes, bands and many more. Among the bands entered are Tayldr High School, Warrenton, Charles Town
