The newspaper sent out asking you to vote for Harry Byrd, Jr., who was temporarily ap'pointed to fill his father’s seat in the U.S. Senate, used a map of Virginia with 100 counties— two of which had been out of existence for 14 years. Is it too much to ask that our U. S. Senator know that in 1952 there were 98 counties and since 1963 there are only 96? This is an example of what several of the local Byrd Organization followers have been saying through the years. “It is a shame that little Harry doesn’t have the stuff to follow in his father’s footsteps.” Vote (X) Armistead Boothe for the U.S. Senate in the July 12th Democratic Primary.
