Show 4-H Lambs
George Kidwell and Bill Snead represented Rappahannock 4-H at the Glenwood Park Livestock Exposition held Saturday, April 29 at Middleburg. Both boys showed lambs. George, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Kidwell, Sr.ofAmissville, placed 5th in the Lightweight Market Lamb class with a 69 lb. lamb. This class was won by Mike Cather of Berryville; Larry* Royston of Boyce was 2nd, Gary Hornbaker of Herndon placed 3rd and Keith Ashby of Purcellville 4th. Eleven lambs were entered in this class. The Heavyweight Market Lamb Class was won by Larry Royston; Bill Snead, son of Mr.; and Mrs. R. V. Snead, of Washington placed 2nd, Keith Ashby, 3rd, Tommy Carper 4th and Keith Ashby 5th. Ten head were in the class. Keith Ashby also won 1st in the Pair of Market Lambs Class, Larry Royston - 2nd, Bill Snead 3rd, James Gouglass 4th and George Kidwell 5th.
