The AC Program for 1967 includes a practice for controlling noxious weeds in order to protect soil or water resources. This practice is limited to situations where control of weeds is necessary to the protection of the soil or water resource. Costsharing will be limited to control of stickweed and thistle (curled, musk, and bull). Stickweeds should be sprayed between June 15 and August 15 and thistles between March 15 and May 25 or between October 15 and November 20 when the temperature is above 60i degrees F. This practice will be approved only after an inspection made by the county committee or its representative shows the practice is needed and eligible. Any needed improvement measures, in addition to weed control, must be carried out on pasture land on which costsharing is authorized for the control of these weeds.
