On Sunday Mrs. Mary Ashby, Mrs. Lois Frazier, Frances Leake, and Patty Atkins, all of Warrenton were guests of Mrs. Tyner and Miss Atkins. Mrs. Catherine Brown spent last week visiting Mr. and Mrs. Edward Payne of Alexandria, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Overhulser and family of Arlington, and Miss Shirley Brown of Bethesda, Md. Mrs. Brown returned home on Friday accompanied by Mrs. Payne and Shirley Brown and was joined for dinner on Sunday by Benny Brown and Mrs. Roselee Tomilson of Winchester.
R. E. Wood remains a patient in University Hospital, Charlottesville and is visited daily by Mrs. Wood who reports improvement of his condition.
Mrs. Joan Cumins of Washington, D. C. visited her children, Cindy and Doug, over the weekehti' ill th’e 'home of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Perkins. Mrs. W. H. Lyne was an overnight guest Monday of Mrs. V. R. Shackelford, Sr. of Orange, and was a Tuesday luncheon guest of Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Roy L. Reeve spent the weekend in Hanover, Pa. with Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Brown and family. Visitors last Wednesday of Mr. and Mrs. D. V. Chapman were Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Sawyer and Mrs. Donald Knight of Elllcott City, Md. Guests for the weekend in the Chapman home were Mr. and Mrs. D. V. Chapman, Jr. and grandchildren, Van, Carey, and Lee of Richmond. They were joined on Sunday by Mrs. Francis Forbes and Miss Ernestine Jones of Front Royal. Mrs. T. J.
