Federal Summer Job
WASHINGTON - Rep. John O. Marsh, Jr., has emphasized that students and others hoping to be considered for summer employment with the Federal Government in Washinton or elsewhere must apply on or before February 1 for the nationwide competitive examination.
“The larger post offices have the application form, which is Civil Service Commission from 5000-AB," Marsh said; “and this form should be mailed to: Summer Employment Examination, U; S. Civil Service Commission, 1900 E. Street N. W., Washington, D. C., 20415." Those who apply in rime may expect to be notified to report for the written test in a city near their homes on March 9, Marsh added. For Middle East
U. S. Senator William B. Spong, jr., will be one of 15 members of Congress leaving from Dulles Internationa 1 Airport for England this week to confer with members of the British Parliament on problems in the Middle Hast. The conference, scheduled over the weekend so that delegates will miss no important votes, is sponsored by the Ditchley Foundation of England, which is pay ing expenses of those invited to participate, o Senator Spongand Representative John Tunney of California will lead rme session of the conference dealing with the future of American and British interests in the Middle least. (Representative Tunney is a graduate of the University of Virginia I.aw School and is son of the fa mous prizefighter Gene Tunney. ) The meetings will take place at Ditchley Park, a country estate near London owned by the Foundation. The American delegation will also attend a session of the House of Commons in London before going to Ditchley Park for the series of weekend meetings. The Virginia senator will be accompanied by Senators Gale W. McGee (D-Wyo.), John Tower (R-Tex.), Peter H. Dorr^nick (R-Col.), and eleven members of the Hous e of Representatives. Commenting on his attendance at the conference, the Senator said.
