Sensational TV programs to the contrary, we don’t think many mothers are going to keep on having babies so that they can live on welfare. It’s just not that attractive.
We’re awfully tired of being whipping boys; we didn’t cause illegitimacy nor are we subsidizing it. It is a tremendously complex problem which has existed ever since there were people. Cultural, legal economic, psychological, social. and moral factors all must be considered if we are to understand it. We only deal with it in the best ways we know. So leave the driving tc us!
