****** Last week we looked at clothing trends for 1968 and saw that the price of clothing is expected to increase this year. Let’s now look at Food and see what is expected for 1968. Not surprising to many, I'm sure, retail food prices will also be higher in 1968. We saw an increase of 1 % In 1967, but this year’s is listed as an increase of 2-3%. Despite the increases, the percentage of disposable personal income used for food is now down about 1% from that spent in 1966. About 1/5 of total expenditures for food and beverages goes for meals and snacks eaten away from home. So perhaps, to get more from our food money we need to
