Girl Scouts Mark
First Birthday
The first birthday of Girl Scout Troop 380 which is composed of members from all of Rappahannock County, was celebrated Thursday, February 1. The Junior Troop was organized under the direction of Mrs. Lou Raney of Flint Hill and in the ensuing year a Cadette Troop has been formed. Charter members received year pins at the meeting last week. Also at this time, seven new members were added to the troop and received membership pins during a candlelight ceremony. They were Robin Estes, Susan Baldwin, Seneca Gatewood, Ellen Dearing, Janet Cloud, Ginger Estes and Ida .Ferrell. Sign of the Arrow, one of the highest honors in Junior Scouting, went to Wendy Brown, Drucilla Davis, Mary Moore Kilby, Ann Stokes, Jeanne St. Clair, and Paula St. Clair. The first badges awarded in the Cadette Troop went to Mauri Raney.
Bake Sale
The Sperryville Methodist, Church will hold a Bake Sale, Saturday, February 17 at the Sperryville Corner Store starting at 10 a.m. A good variety will be available.
