This year, the nineteenth running of the Rappahannock Hunt Point-to-Point Races is set for Saturday, March 2, at 12:30 on ThorntonHill Farm’s beautiful bowl-like course, 2 miles south of Sperryville on Route 522. The Rappahannock Race Corr> mittee has announced the appointment of two new officers: Chairman Wade II. Massic, III and Sue Haggerty, Honorary Race Secretary. Miss Haggerty, (address: Sperryville, Va. - phone 703-987-8161) will be in charge of entries and will be glad to answer any and all questions regarding the races. Highlights of the eight-race card will be the first race, the Pair Race, ridden by members of recognized hunts on regularly hunted mounts; the Ladies’ Race; the Seven Cop ners Shopping Center Bowl for owner-riders; and Rappahannock’s unique hound race.
