At the regular March meeting of the Rappahannock County School Board, Mrs. Mary M. Qualntance, Principal of the Sperryville Elementary School, was appointed principal of the Rappahannock County Elementary School for the 1968-69 session. Mrs. Qualntance received her degree from Madison College in elementary education and has taken additional work in administration and elementary education at the University of Virginia. Since 1950, she has served as principal of the S pe r r y ville E 1 e me n t a r y School. Mrs. Quaintance has served various committees in the local education association, as a member of the State Educational Policy Committee, district representative of the Rappahannock Library Board and as secretary of the District N. Principals Association.
