Mrs. Cary Thornhill spent

Mrs. Cary Thornhill spent the weekend in Winchester with her daughter Mrs. Elma Manuel, especially to see her new great-grandson John H. Anderson, III born March 14.

The Thornhills Sunday dinner guests last week were Mr. and Mrs. Winfrey Thornhill and family of Manassas.

Raymond Coughlin of Culpeper was a weekend guest of his brother-in-law and sister Mr. and Mrs. Robert S. McDaniels. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Hawkins were Saturday overnight guests of Mrs. Will Smith of Culpeper. .Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hopkins of Remington were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hensley and Mrs. Gladys Schlosser. The Rev. John McKay of Griffinsburg, Mr. and Mrs. George Butler, Jr. and family of Herndon, Mr. and Mrs. George Butler, Sr. and Jackie Sisk of Boston were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Paul F. Butler and family. Afternoon guests were Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Thornhill and family of Culpeper, Mrs. Jesse Hawkins and Mr, and Mrs. George A. Johnston of Boston.

Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Williams visited Mrs. "Pet” Smith on the Strasburg Road last Wednesday. The regular meeting of the Chester Gap Homemakers Club was held last Thursday night at the fire hall with 9 present. A very interesting film entitled “Hide, or Go Seek” was shown by Miss Diane Brown, home agent. Mrs. Hubie Gilkey and daughter Kim attended the Beauty Contest held last Friday night at the Warren County High School. Mrs. Frmand Morris and David Williams were taken to Washington, D. C. by the Chester Gap Rescue Squad ambulance last Thursday for a check-up. They were accompanied by Frmand Morris, son Roger Lee and Duane Williams.
