Miss Betty Kay Kilby, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Joseph Kilby of Sperry ville, became the bride of William Blair Lowry of Templeton, Pennsylvania on Saturday, October 26, 1968, in the F. T. Baptist Church. Hie bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Blair Lowry of Templeton. The marriage was performed at two o’clock in the afternoon by the Rev. H. E. Nicholson of Middleburg, a former pastor. He was assisted with the double ring ceremony by the Rev. William Harrison, present pastor. The church, which has been the church of the bride’s family for several generations, was decorated in charming simplicity with white tapers and arrangements of white mums and pale gold gladioli.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Her gown was fashioned of white satin appliqued with champagne lace at the neckline and Empire waistline. It had a full train. Her veil of illusion billowed from a bandeau of matching lace and she carried a prayer book topped with white orchids and stephanotis.
