Two young people from Fauquier County died in a traffic crash near AmissviUe last Wednesday just prior to the official beginning of the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend and three others sustained injuries in the wreck.
The fatal victims of the one-car crash were Diane Lynn Drennen, 17, of Wanenton and John Cecil Snow, 20, living in Warrenton but originally of Ontario, Canada. They were pronounced dead on arrival at Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton of multiple injuries by the medical examiner.
Those injured in the crash were Robin Ann Rhodes, 18, Jack Godwin Whitfield, 23, and Sarah Kathryn Pulchine, 18, all of Warrenton. Miss Rhodes is in serious condition in Fairfax Hospital. According to Trooper K. L. Miller, she has undergone a tracheotomy and head surgery and on Tuesday she underwent surgery on her fractured left leg.
At press time Wednesday the Hospital reported that she remained in critical condition with multiple injuries and was in intensive care.
