near Amissville and struck a tree.I The 69 Dodge was operated by Donald Francis Fleming of Aldie, according to Trooper W. A. B untin who investigated the incident. The vehicle skidded on a curve and struck a tree on the left of the highway. There were no injuries and no charges were made. Damage was estimated at $1,000.
A unique two-vehicle collision occurred the same night, Wednesday the 27th on Route 211 three and three tenth miles east of Sperryvillc, and was also investigated by Trooper Miller. An unidentified vehicle skidded on the highway and another behind it and one meeting it attempting to avoid the skidding vehicle struck each other.
Involved in the collision were Antonio Charles Bonanno of Washington, D. C. operating a 64 Plymouth and Joseph Samuel Carter of Warrenton in a 49 Ford pick up. Damage to the vehicles was estimated at $300 to the Plymouth and $100 to the truck. No charges were made.
