WitU a gUfbt Saturday and Sunday of his son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Nick Penaranda and family in Fairfax Sunday night they attended the annual National Capitol Star Ball at the Sheraton-Park Hotel. Mr. Weaver’s son John Weaver of Washington, D. C. was director of the event which featured dancers from many different countries in competition.
Mrs. W. F. Moffett, jr., Page and Carter Moffett, spent the holidays with Mrs. Moffett’s parents the Rev. and Mrs. C. E. Buxton in Springfield.
Page Moffett of the University of Virginia spent the Thanksgiving holiday from Wednesday until Sunday with his parents and grandmother at their home on Gay Street. He was accompanied back to Charlottesville on Sunday by his father Judge W. F. Moffett, jr.
Mrs. Anna R. Fincham spent the Thanksgiving holidays with her brother-in-law and sister Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jacobs in Amissville. On Friday Mr. and Mrs. Jacobs, Mrs. Fincham with Mrs. Charles Hackley and daughter Angie of Fairfax attended a Christmas Parade in Silver Spring, Md. Angie Hackley marched in the parade.
Dinner guests on Thursday of Mrs. F. Downing Wood at Sunnyside were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Reid and three sons of Arlington, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Bowie of Culpeper, Mrs. C. G. Reid, Mr. and Mrs. Quenton McCoy and family and Miss Mary Miller Wood.
