Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Payne spent from Thursday until Sunday in Burton, S. C. as the guests of SSgt. and Mrs. David W. Streagle and children Shannon and Marc. Eddie Huff of Washington, Va. was a houseguest of Billy Payne during the absence of his parents. Mrs. Edith Hackley was in Marshall recently to attend the funeral of Mrs. Roger Payne. Seventeen members of the Amissville Ladies Auxiliary to the fire company and two guests attended the annual Christmas party of that group held last Wednesday at the fire hall. Mr. and Mrs. George W. Self and children George and Sean have moved into the Lullwater apartment building.
Cliff Latham has returned to his home at Homer Hill Farm from Shenandoah College, Winchester to spend the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Latham.
