Get a head start on the income tax Tiling season by starting now to assemble tax records.
James P. Boyle, District Director of Internal Jtevenue for Virginia, emphasized that cancelled checks, receipts, records of contributions, and other financial records should be gathered now to help you prepare your 1968 Federal income tax return. 3
Complete records help to insure that taxpayers do not pay more taxes than they should and also make the job of preparing the tax return easier. Mr. Boyle said that a copy of last year’s return is one of the best guides for preparing the 1968 return. He also stressed that you should now be accumulating pertinent records and receipts so that tax filing will be easier next year.
