NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS OF
RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY
Anyone owning real estate in Rappahannock County who feels that he or she haa been treated unfairly by the Board of Assessors in the recent real estate assessment, or who feels he has a justifiable complaint concerning the new assessment, is requested to file such complaint in writing with Mrs. Mary H. Lea, Secretary of the Hoard of Assessors, at her office in the Court House in Washington. These complaints should be filed not later than January 15, 1969.
The books will be open during this period for anyone to see his own assessment and to make comparisons. Mrs. Lea will be in her office Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12 Noon nnd from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. each week until January 15th, except December 24th, 25th, 26th and January 1st.
On a date in January, to be announced later in the Rappahannock News, the Board of Assessors will sit in session at the Court House for the purpose of discussing and considering all such complaints.
