Leroy W. Kidwel), 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. James M. Kidwel], W oodville, was promoted to Army private pay grade E-2 upon completion of basic combat training Nov. 22 at Ft. Benning, Ga.
Hie promotion was awarded two months earlier than is customary under an Army policy providing incentive for outstanding trainees. The promotion was based on his scores attained during range firing, high score on the physical combat proficiency test, military bearing and leadership potential. 7) R.N. in the service
Sergeant Thomas A. O'Halloran, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. O’Halloran, Sr. of Rt. 1, Viewtown, is on duty at Cam Ranh Bay AB, Vietnam. Sergeant O’Halloran, an air freight specialist, is a member o the Pacific Air Forces. Before his arrival in Vietnam, he was assigned to McCoy AFB, Fla. The sergeant, a 1963 graduate of Culpeper County High School, attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute. His wife, Donna, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Moore of 604 Nayldr St., Alexandria.
