The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mason Hitt of Amissville. Tire Rev. Charles Kindred, pastor of the church, performed the ceremony at three o’clock in the afternoon befdre an altar decorated with arrangements of white mixed flowers and lighter candelabra. Miss Lee Lawrence was organist and presented a program of nuptial music and the traditional wedding marches.
The bride was given in marriage by her fathet:'Her lbhg gown wae of white lace over satin designed on Empire lines. The scooped neckline and the waistline were accented with pearl sequins. The long sleeves came to a point over her hands. A train of matching lace was attached at the shoulders and her bouffant veil fell from a small crown of lace and pearl sequins. She carried a white prayer book topped with white rosebuds and streamers.
The matron of honor was Mrs, ^nne Holmes Neale of Bealeton She wore a floor-length gown ol red velvet, fashioned on Empire lines and trimmed with matching red sequins. Her headpiece was ol matching net attached to a smat crown and she carried a nosegaj of red, white and variegatec carnations.
